Wendy (aka Wing Nut Wendy)
Wendy is the mother of Zip who is a pilot. Wendy would love to take credit for getting her son interested in flying, but she is not quite sure if she is. In fact she is not with the program all that much when it comes to being a mother Zip due to an injury she endured when he was only a wee lad. The family was going on vacation off planet to a new waterpark on Zernon, a planet in the neighboring Andromeda Galaxy. Along the way the s ship they were traveling in was knocked out of there wormhole transit by a giant asteroid. Her husband was killed instantly on impact and Wendy suffered a serious concussion which left her brain damaged. Zip was the only one uninjured. Once at the Space Emergency Center (SPEC) the doctors found that they needed to operate immediately and insert a metal plate on one side of her head. When she woke she suffered minor amnesia. She worked odd jobs as a mechanic because that was what she enjoyed doing. Everywhere she went so did Zip. Her odd jobs eventually landed her a career as chief engineer for a gang of pirates.
Wendy’s strengths include the fact that she can fix anything mechanically. She is also very eccentric due to the side effects of the metal plate in her head. She can pick up radio waves and signals from just about anywhere in the galaxy. Once in a blue moon she can hear the radio waves of G.O.D. Her weakness is her inability to communicate in a manner that everyone understands. Yet if you listened to her long enough you might start to think that what she is saying is in fact important.
