Vortex was the son of a brilliant ship designer and inventor. He lived a life of luxury and went to the top schools in the galaxy. It’s there that he became friends with gold nugget. Before he graduated tragedy struck. Vortex’s father died.
When his father died he left his son control of his thriving industry. Vortex had inherited his father’s genius but he lacked ability to run a corporation so eventually it was taken over by one of his father’s old business associates. Vortex was/is angry about the theft of his father’s legacy and strives for vengeance. Little John found Vortex when he had nothing and offered him a job on his crew and a way to seek out revenge.
